Hey BigCrispy you're absolutely right, that left fielder seems to have a preety good arm, nice bat and some good speed for a white boy,but dam! what a cry baby. He's always running his trap when his team is winning and is always complaining about someone elses team or players when they lose.he should do his team and himself a favor and shut up.

I heard the pitcher snagged a 64 hopper, talked some shiznit, rolled the ball to 1st, and then threw his mitt at the LF's dome, and then swung on him. Cops or not, that sounds like a "douche of the week" nominee to me.

Well thats exactly how it went... I know the pitcher from the other side and the LF is my teammate. Both great guys just got caught in the heat of the moment. I know for a fact he wasnt trying to go middle cuz in the first place EVERYONE in the park knows he pulls the ball, so if he goes middle its not intentional. Especially not the way he hit it, cuz it wasnt very hard and he'd tell you the samething. I just hope the bad blood stayed in Picallo and its over and done with.

You both are correct, but the reason why the pitcher got mad, and im sure you wont blame him, but he was told that your LF was using a painted ULTRA II, i dont kno if its true or not but no matter if it was a 64 hopper or a line drive, if he thinks that someone is using a painted ultra then the ball is hit up the middle, your going to be pretty pissed off yourself, im not saying he handled it the right way or not but i can see why the man was pissed off.

Crispy I know for a fact that the bat he was using wasn't a painted ultra 2... It was the black and red Mayhem.

If the word on the street is that this bat (or any other bat at any other tourney or league) was a painted Ultra II, why do we continue to tolerate such a thing?
Do we only complain after a pea is hit up the middle?
Are we going to wait until someone gets seriously injured to stop such madness?
Why do we continue to dance around the issue?
When you KNOW a bat is altered, do something about it!

Thanks, Manny. The tournament was handle with class and professionalism. Great job on your first. Mad Props to Benny for assisting and making an executive decision at the time of the miniscule melee to the satisfaction of both parties.
Losing our pitcher was a big blow for us. Not only is he a good pitcher but also our fearless leader. We are very satisfied to have played 7 games but dissapointed that being up 8-2 in the bottom of the 4th, it was our game to win.
Great job to Coach Leslie of I'd Hit It and her players. You have a good team and I'm sure we will meet again.
Too bad, the outcome was different. But our fate was seal when we had no pitcher to replace our leader. We were looking forward to playing a friendly with our brothers the DIAMOND KINGS. " Amor del Rey "

Thanks Coach I really appreciate the props... On the other hand, you guys have a good team but Softball consist of 7 innings not 4 and we had the hammer. Wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch. I'm sure not loosing your pitcher would have been different, but at the end of the day this is SLOW PITCH SOFTBALL, not baseball that one pitcher can dominate a game. He is a good pitcher and fields his position real well but it is Slow pitch not baseball. Congrats on ur team as well for coming back after losing early in the day

True but nevertheless we didn't have a pitcher to finish out the game. The player that came in to try and salvage our situation did the best that he could. He walked too many guys and those walks were followed by hits. Even though, it is slowpitch softball there is still an art form to keeping players of balance. If it was that easy to pitch than we can all be pitchers and that is not the case.
We had a great time barbecuing, playing dominoes and playing 7 games of softball. After all we are all out there to have a good time and escape the reality of everyday life.
Thanks for the Coach tag but the Coach is the pitcher. I was in interim mode after the ejection.

My bad Manny i got caught up with the drama, lol, thanks for a good tourney, between you and Benny, i think you guys handled the situation great, i dont think both teams deserved to get thrown out the tourney, just because of 2 players, again mad props on running a pretty smooth tourney, and you can count on having the Kings at your future events. Hoover, if you say that the bat he used was not altered i take your word, again congrats on your win, im sure we will see you in the future!!

Having a positive mental attitude is asking how something can be done rather than saying it can't be done.

Well I thought this forum was over and left behind us but I guess not. One thing is to be upset and another thing is to disrespect someone and the game. Everyone knew that the ball he hit wasnt intentional by how many bounces it took to get to him. The runner once he hit it turned right back around and walked over to the dug-out without saying anything until the pitcher did what he had to do. Like I said in previous threads, I personally know both of them and they are both great guys if you actually get to know them. But the way the pitcher acted when he caught the ball was uncalled for. Going middle by accident is going to happen, and anyone who says they have never gone middle by accident is probably lying. But w.e what happened already passed, and I'm hoping this incident never happens again.

Unfortunately, middle is part of the game. There are many situations where the defense is playing you to go middle. Realistically, if a pitcher does not want to be so close to the action, they should not be pitching. I have been pitching for quite some time and have gotten real close to having my head taken off. I have been hit several times by clean bats and shaved bats. IT SUX ASS!!! But at the end of the day, middle is part of the game and if a pitcher is not comfortable with getting balls hit to his head, ankles, and chest, then they should get off the mound. It's a vital position in softball but it is dangerous and risky. I respect everyone who gets on the mound and wish them nothing but safety while playing the game.

Brian - You're right bro, but everyone is always bitchin about people hitting middle...then they turn around and do it that's why in tourneys all that shit is fair game...it's like having a fine ass girlfriend who can't cook, clean or give a BJ...you still want to be with her even though she has alot of flaws...
As far as the tourney goes Manny did do a good job, but please try to not be like the other directors that allow "Sand Bagging"...K Lo K, Diamond Kings, Anarchy, I' Hit It and the other top team bring the same players to all of their tournaments because that's their team. Sometimes they bring 2 or 3 players to fill in what ever they are missing, but for the most part they bring their players...I understand that we should not be crying about TN bringing 7 "D" players, but when you pay 300 ****ing dollars to play in an "E" tournament you get a little worked up about playing mixed "E" and "D" teams. What ever bro at the end of the day the had a great time and we will play at your next one...just have the team rosters ready...LOL

Well unfortunately the sandbagging is going to be aroound as long as the world of softball is. That goes for shaved bats, and hitting middle as well. There is a way around for everything and no matter how much the directors try and enforce something, you will still have a couple people that know how to cheat the system. thats just the way life is in general. But anyways, if you noticed the top 3 teams were teams that always have there regular team out there while the sandbaggers were were already home watching ESPN. U guys have a great team and just fell short a game or two. Anyways goodluck to everyone this upcoming weekend and the many more weekends to follow. My boys from I'd Hit It!, keep up the good work. We are on the right path. Dont change a thing.

Hoover - yeah you're right bro people who are cheaters will always be cheaters, but when the directors know what's going on and still allow it then it's plainly obvious that there more going on then just Sadbagging there is favoritism going on too.
I'll give you a perfect example...forget about Anarchy Softball complaining about this because we have a pretty good team and can probably win anyways, but you have teams like the Head Hunters, the Spartans and the Heavy Hitters that have no realistic chance of beating a team that is stacked...those boys who work hard for their money basically piss it away when they enter these tournaments and play "D" caliber teams...all I'm asking is that directors don't turn a blind eye; if they see stop it; if they don't see it because the cheaters are going around the system then there's nothing we can do about it that's all :D

Well I agree with you there but it's going to happen. And the directors can only do so much. I think they have done a good job with the E division this year getting all those upper players out. But there are still a couple teams or players that can play up.
