With all of this BS of prizes, classifications and rules, TSA ( Tony Softball Association ) a ( TME company ), is doing some research about starting up next year in Florida.
Here are some basic rules.

1) TSA will classify teams wherever the great Tony Montana wants.
2) 4'-10' arc.
3) 40/375 softballs just in case you are bringing a painted Ultra.
4) All bats allowed except you know what.
5) 70 minute time limit/double elimination ( if you can't get it right in 2, what makes you think 3 will help )
6) Homeruns- Elite 8/hit....C 4/out....D 2/out.....E 0/inning ending
7) Base stealing
8) All forms of pitching allowed.
9) 0-0 count
10) Run rule...3 (20)..4 (15)..5 (10)

Prize package at EVERY event/Entry fee 250.00/Softballs 3.50 per ball/ 38.00 per dozen

First place....100.00 per team entered
Second place...zilch, nothing, nada, nill, no more excuse of we ran out of gas, and crap. You lost that's why you finished second.

I am also gonna add my own concessions where possible. For example:

Hot dog-----1.25 ( bread, dog, and condiments will run about .55 per )
Water-------.75 ( it cost me .18 per bottle )

Not a bad idea Stevie. Maybe raise the entry fee to 275.00 and supply the softballs, then I can hire somebody who has been hit hard by the economy, to go chase them and I will pay them an hourly wage.

If directors opened the park an hour before the tourney for a Wiley's meet and greet they could make millions. Think of the possibilities, how about a DWhit bobble head night. :eek::D:eek:

If you take care of the people around you, then the chances of them having a revolution to overthrow you, diminish greatly. If you let the ' peoples ' make a decent living, then when you get that second Mercedes that you dream about, it will be overlooked.;) It is only when you squeeze the ' peoples ' to the point of them not being able to survive that they then start looking at the luxuries surrounding the man.

And yes Dwhitty, you can actually make a profit running tournaments. And there is nothing wrong with that until you start telling me that you love this game so much that you are doing this to give back to the community.

Here is an idea how about we go back to the old days and there are no divisions and everyone just plays. Then based on your record, run total, and runs given up then the director puts you in the divsion he feels you belong. After this is done rosters are frozen or if you pick up a player it must be approved two days before the tourney.

Now the guy's got Keri as a partner. Any problems, he goes to Keri. Trouble with the fieldsl? He can go to Keri. Trouble with the umpires, insurance, balls, he can call Keri. But now the guy's gotta come up with Keri's money every week no matter what. Tournament short teams? F you, pay me. Oh, team stiffed you with a bad check? F you, pay me. Umpires want more money? F you, pay me."

And then finally when there's nothing left. When you can't rent another field, afford balls, or prizes you still send Keri your 20%
